Genesis has a bright, lively, and naturally colorful style. This project really challanged me because her logo needed to best represent her style and personality. A lot of photographers have very simple, modern logos, so this needed to be bold and unique in order to represent her. To do this, I captured her love of avocados and used a customized font. The color scheme is made of her favorite colors, and they complement her style well.
Below are my sketches that I started out with for this project. The logos on the right are some that I started out with after drawing in my sketchbook, but they were losing personality to their high end feel.
After exploring an aray of very different ideas and approaches to her logo, I went with a unique and customized font that best matches her personality and style. The roundness of the letters feels very inviting and positive, and her favorite things (photography and avocados) are included into the logo itself. I also decided to create a brand mascot for her of an avocado to make her brand feel more lively and approachable.
